Home to 83 species of trees that include the critically endangered dipterocarp species, the Gisók-gisók (Hopea philippinensis)

Habitat for 104 species of land vertebrates including 57 species of birds, 10 species of amphibians, 24 species of reptiles and 13 species of mammals

Has thirty-four (34) herpetofaunal species including the Bicol False Gecko (Pseudogekko sumiklab), a new discovered Philippine endemic species

Aspiring nominee for the UNESCO World Heritage Sites: Mayon Volcano Natural Park

Located within the proximity of the “Center of the Center of Marine Biodiversity” – a sea point having the highest concentration of marine life in the world

Features 42 dive spots and an extremely rare species of hard coral known as “Puerto gallerie” which can only be found on this site

Home to Iraya Mangyans who are among the indigenous peoples of Oriental Mindoro known for their skills of nito weaving that preserves their unique art form Known for a variety of endemic species including tamaraw (Bubalus mindoronensis)
